Project background: Located in the city of Gavar, the music school named after H. Talalyan greatly contributes to flourishing the cultural life in the region, as well as enriches the cultural knowledge of its students, contributing to their talent, artistic and spiritual development. Students of the music school participate in a variety of competitions, including such international contests as the annual “Veradznund” festival in Gyumri, the “Art Music” republican festival, etc. The school also hosts a number of other similar art events. The management of the school would greatly benefit from exposure to innovative and creative ideas in terms of the organization of classes, using music for the children’s cultural and talent development, reaching out to new audiences and making classical music appealing to younger generations. Therefore, the project aims to improve the quality of music education for children living in Gavar and to boost the cultural life of the region. The school has 160 students, 97 of whom specialize in piano classes. It’s worth to note that the school also hosts children from vulnerable families. Therefore, there is a strong demand for pianos at school since the available ones are too old and do not contribute to increasing the effectiveness of students' musical education. Accordingly, the school needs a sufficient number of pianos as well other necessary equipment (e.g. microphones, projectors) for the proper organization of competitions, festivals or other relevant events in the region.
